Yesterday, I posted a diary based on a quote from one of the college protesters at the University of Vermont who was heard saying, “Hitler was right to kills the Jews because they were Zionists.”
Before I continue, please note I am submitting a new diary on roughly the same subject because I have significant updates and because the conversation there is long and I didn’t want to dilute it by updating the diary…an update that most Kossacks who left a message may not even see. So I post again, so everyone has a fair chance of reading this, and the conversation can begin anew…should you wish to participate.
It was rightfully pointed out in the original diary that I didn’t have a source linked for the quote. My response was truthful in that I was told this information by a trusted source, a personal friend whom I’ve known for over 35 years and has worked for the State Department for about 30 of them. In short, she sees things. She hears things. And these “things” are sometimes shocking to those of us who aren’t privy to that level of access. One of them was this comment coming from a student protestor at UVM. You won’t find a link for the quote because the source wasn’t from an article.
This morning, she and I spoke for some clarification and additional context and information. So here it is:
As are at many colleges, there are online groups of parents who talk about the various goings on about the school for their children. Like dormitories and food and books and course work and professors and so on. You know, mundane things. But for this online group of parents for UVM students, this is a group of Jewish parents. And one of them reported that the quote above wasn’t from an official speaker at a protest, but a student protestor who was overheard at a protest encampment after the UVM administration caved to the protestors and rescinded its invitation for commencement speaker Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greefield.
Beyond the stupidity of the quote (and its imbedded hatred and vileness) is the why. Why are kids saying such awful things, like that it might have been a good idea to kill 6,000,000 people? Something else must be going on.
And here lies much of the problem that Jewish folks are experiencing in the United States (and around the world). A wedge is purposefully being inserted between groups of people, on purpose. You can see it if you look hard enough. It’s easy to read headlines that students are being arrested and first amendment issues are being challenged and … and … and. The whole situation is a mess.
Perhaps it’s by design. Maybe there is a force behind all of this chaos that is the mallet hammering in that wedge. When students start using the word “genocidaire” at multiple campuses, then this thing is organized. That is not a word that just falls out of the sky suddenly, without prompt.
None of this protesting is really helping suffering Palestinians and none of it is helping get Netanyahu out of office. Or helping get the hostages home. You know something is afoot when posters of paragliders are showing up at these protests. Who is supplying them? Why is this now a thing?
Is this whole thing a psy-op? (Some may call it an “info op”) which has happened in the US in massive ways during the 2016 election. It happened in other countries as well. Russia has been behind most of it.
Concerns for the rights of other people, whether they be Israeli’s, Jews, Palestinians, etc, are appropriate and good. Protesting war is a first amendment right. But manipulation is taking advantage and feeding propaganda into those good intentions. And now, as a result, we have groups people (large groups??) thinking Jews should be slaughtered again. We’ve seen this movie before. It doesn’t end well.
